Well we have made it through our first full day of camp this week
When I got on the mountain bikes I thought I’d fall off every time but it was fun. When we went to arts & crafts I made a bracelet I never made before. The creek hike was my second favorite. I found two fairy stones and a heart rock. Swimming was fun. I was the only person in my cabin to pass the swim test. Farm and garden was the best!! I held a couple of baby rabbits and chased the goats. We feed the animals also. We visited all the animals. We had so much fun with all the animals.
I have enjoyed kayaking liked jumping out of it and getting back in. I liked seeing the bunnies. And just doing everything.
I enjoyed the farm and garden center because the bunny rabbits are so cute.
What I loved about Happy Hollow is that we have gone swimming, camped out fishing arts & crafts and more. But I have loved the staff too. Plus I’ve made new friends. It is so Fun.
I really enjoyed kayaking! It is so much fun. Also I enjoyed arts and crafts. Overall I think it is pretty good.
Kayaking was great. Alex was a good teacher. I wanted to go again but I couldn’t. We were going swimming next.
I liked the horses. I rode Katie. I also liked hopping the table. I am looking forward to the special day this week.
I really really liked swimming and kayaking. I also liked playing in the cabin with my new friends. But I didn’t like being quiet for rest period.
Kayaking was my favorite activity. I was really good at it. I also enjoyed chasing the goats at the farm and garden. I can’t wait for the special day this week so I can jump in the water like I did last year with Raymond
I really like the horses. We got to trot and to and got to groom them. Swimming was good as well. I passed both swim tests. The cabin was ok.
I liked nature we learned about frogs. Kayaking was good I had a lot of fun. I got really fit from hiking everywhere and I really want to stay.
I enjoyed horses. I was a lot of fun. I liked arts & crafts. We got to make muck. I am looking forward to my bed though.

Life at Happy Hollow
My week of camp was great I learned to do so many new things. On our first day we went canoeing and I feel out but I was ok. Then we went to ride bikes. It was fun going up and down the hills. The second day we went to nature and built a pond and put fish in it and then we went swimming. I went on the high ropes too. I was a little scared but I made it. Then we are going to camp out. All in all Camp Happy Hollow wins my vote for being a great for kids, big or small, to have FUN.
I have been to the basketball court and farm and garden. Also I went on a creek hike and swimming and to the challenge course. It was really fun I think it is the best camp here. So I think you should pick Happy Hollow
Today we saw the pig and her name was shoelace. I held a bunny and it was cute. I eat swimming and had a blast. We played at the challenge course and played one of my favorite games.
Today we went to the flagpole. That is where we put up or take away the flag. After flag pole we had breakfast we had ham, bananas juice water bread cereal and milk. We went to the basketball courts which also had a tennis court built in. We went to an activity called farm & garden and Miss Monica told us about the rules. They were easy to learn and not complicated.
Today we did some cool new stuff like a creek hike and swimming, tennis, basketball and last but not least the challenge course. Also we are doing this skit. What you are supposed to do is make up this skit and perform it in front of everybody.
We went swimming and went on a creek hunt. We went on a basketball court and played. We went to farm and garden and we got to pet animals.
Today was fun. We played flashlight. I almost cried because I missed my friend. She is my new best friend. She is like a sister to me. I am going to miss her.
The first few days of camp I’ve made three new friends. I’m having a lot of fun. When we went swimming in the lake I was scared at first but then I got used to the water. After playing tennis and basketball we rode some horses. I was SO scared but I got used to the big pretty horses.
The things I love about camp are swimming horseback riding, activities and just having straight up fun and I love doing everyone’s hair. Also so far what we have done is mountain bikes, swimming, walking on the trails, singing, farm and garden, and horseback riding. I can’t wait for anything else. I love camp so much sometimes I don’t want to leave but I know I have to. And last but not least since I have been 4 years I’m sure I’ll always have fun Thank you so much.

Yesterday was awesome we did so much fun we rode mountain bikes and way more it was so much fun. My favorite part was farm & garden. I got to feed a pig, a rooster, and we got to pet the animals. My favorite was the bunny. My bunny was the baby named Ozzy.
So I went to breakfast had some food and then we went to the basketball courts. After that we went to walking archery that was cool. We had to go swimming next that was cool too. So that was my day I will see you soon.
At the beginning of camp we got a tour of the camp. Then we got assigned to our cabins, I am in cabin B1. We did archery that was my favorite. I didn’t like that we had to get up at 7:00 in the morning. Some more things that I liked about camp were swimming, creek hiking and the athletic field. My counselors are Anne and Amanda. I had fun.
Since I have been here I have had a lot of fun we went creek hiking and my tennis shoes got all wet. And when I went to archery I missed all of the targets. I am looking forward to going horseback riding. But the only part I didn’t like was the part when I had to go to sleep.
What I really liked is swimming, creek hiking, basketball and horses. Sally is my favorite. I also liked the farm.

I liked setting the table. I love riding the prettiest horse. I don’t like getting my shoes wet but I love fishing but we didn’t catch any fish at all. We did see two snakes one was big and one was small. They stuck their heads out of the water they was so pretty. It was fun going to the farm I love bunnies they are so cute I hope the little on feels better.
Today at camp we went to do the high ropes. The high ropes were fun. We also went mountain bike riding and that was so much fun. I had a ball the group I am in. We went canoeing and I didn’t want to go but it was fun.
Hi, I am having a good time here at Happy Hollow we meet new people and gain friendship. Also my canoe got tipped over.

Campers thoughts about camp
Coming to Happy Hollow was very weird but I got really used to it. The first day I got here I thought it was going to be really boring and the people were going to be mean and they wasn’t. As the days kept passing I made new friends and did new things. So as I thought that it was going to be boring I thought wrong it is really cool & fun.
This is my 1st year at Happy Hollow and so far I’ve had a lot of fun. You get to personalize your space in your bunk and get to do a lot of fun things here that you haven’t done before. You also get a chance to make lots of new friends.
So far at camp we have done canoeing skits swimming and mountain bike riding. Today we are going to go camping out. For dinner while we are camping out one of our counselors is going to make soft tacos. When we are swimming we do fun stations in the water and we do optional tests. Also today for our activities we did high ropes. The counselors here are very active, funny, cool, helpful, and gifted. Yesterday my cabin got to goldfish from a Wal-Mart. Then we built a pond by digging up a lot of dirt, sticks and rocks and we put in a black tub in the ground. Next we put rocks and mulch around it and it now looks very pretty. Michelle let me name the fish Connor and Goldie. Connor got eaten by a raccoon or something. I really look forward to doing the next two activities for the last two days.
I had an awesome time at mountain biking and at swimming. A splash came from behind me I looked over and a fish was swimming. I ran after it and caught it with my bare hands. Matt the fishing instructor said he should have been there.
Things I like at Happy Hollow Camp are breakfast, lunch dinner, bow and arrows and the snack. I had fun finding the fairy stones in the creek. The best is kayaking.
I love the lake and the hot tub spring. I love to go horseback riding and fishing and the little play and walking in the woods.
My favorite thing to do is horseback riding and Arts and crafts I love our beds too. And today we went creek walking it was cool. There are lots of things to do here.

Special visitors
We would like to send a special thank you to the National Guard. Yesterday at 2:30 the National Guard brought a Blackhawk Helicopter to camp. The campers were given the opportunity to ask questions and to get up close with Helicopter. Many of the campers even had the opportunity to get inside and see what it was like to sit in one. There were a lot of smiling faces and a lot of questions about how the helicopter. At 4:00 the National Guard took off and said goodbye to the campers with a low fly by right over the camp. Many of the campers said that this was the one of the most exciting things they have seen. The campers really enjoyed themselves and they wanted to send a HUGE thank you to the National Guard and the 3 Pilots that came out for the afternoon.

Quotes from Campers
My favorite thing I did was skits and I also liked the Helicopter and the Ice Cream. Iam a laughy, jokey fun person and I hope I can come back to Happy Hollow.
Today we had fun. We did the Challenge Course and made our skit. We did the slip and slide too and a miltary Helicopter came. It was really neat. We had closing campfire. Everyone did their skit. Most of them were funny. Ours was cool too. It was so fun.
This morning my Favorite thing was when the helicopter landed on the athletic field and we looked inside it and it was cool!!!!!

First Day of Camp
Campers Toughts about their first day,
I was skeptical about camp & it is fun so far & I like it. I even have a friend here to keep company and comfortable. I think I am going to like it here all except the bugs. But other than that I like it as it is my first time!!
Today is sweet like a lollipop. We came here to have fun and everyone is actually nice. Nice isn’t it. I know other wise people would probably be sitting at home watching tv and eating junk food. That is real bad for you y’know.
The best thing today was swimming. It is my favorite because I like to swim. The things I did today was swim in a lake canoe, fishing, a creek walk and a hopper and having fun. I like swimming because it feels good and you get to practice swimming. Canoeing was scary but I kind of liked it. Fishing was ok, creek walk was great. I loved it and we got to put clay on our faces because we found some in the creek. Hopping was great we walked A LOT. I love Camp Happy Hollow!!
Toady I enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Also I enjoyed the part where I got buried in the sand.
Today we went swimming (that was the best). But creek hiking is fun you find clay and you put it on your face. Canoeing is fun to. You will have fun.

Campers Arrive Safley
There were many smiling faces and cheers once the buses arrived at Happy Hollow this afternoon. Right now the campers are in their cabin groups and moving into their cabins. Tonight dinner will be served at 5:45 and we will be having beef barbeque sandwiches. Following dinner we will be having our opening campfire where the counselors will be leading songs and skits. Tomorrow we will be starting are busy week of activities.
